Magnet Strips / Magnet Blocks
Small NdFeB magnetic ceramics laid end to end on a PU substrate with silicone glue. The strip is cut to the useful length, then the Magnet Blocks slide into a pocket, a sheath or a dedicated housing.

BA catalog
Magnet Strips are delivered in 96 cm lengths, then cut into Magnet Blocks at the useful length. The format sets the magnetised width, the strip width and the rows. All are documented in grade N40.

The starting format to validate a flexible fastener, easy to integrate and still very compact.
Magnetic grade
All BA formats are documented in grade N40 (NdFeB magnets): datasheets available, the recommended starting point for sampling. Grades N45, N48 and N52 exist as custom options and are qualified per project.

Power by grade
ref. N40 = 100%The grade sets the magnetic power: each step increases the attraction (around +15% per step, up to +28% at the maximum). The right grade mostly depends on the use case — substrate, gap between active faces and expected hold.
The grade adjusts the strength of the fastener, not its size or appearance. In practice, start with N40 (documented), then move up in grade only if the hold measured on the prototype requires it.
Custom grade

How to choose
A fastener is made of two complementary Magnet Blocks. The cut length, the strip width and the thickness between active faces directly influence the result.
The V04, V06, V08 or V12 format sets the magnetised width, the strip width and the number of rows.
The strip is cut to the useful length to obtain two complementary Magnet Blocks.
The BAs go into a pocket, a sheath or a housing built into the final product.
The hold depends on the format, the cut length, the grade and the thickness between active faces.
You first choose a width — V04, V06, V08 or V12 — then a block length and a magnetic range to test.

The final hold depends on the substrate, the thickness between magnets, the direction of the active faces and the care protocol.
